Ayodele Close To A Move To Scottish Premiership League

Reports in Scotland suggest that Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC are close to completing the transfer of rookie Nigerian striker Dare Ayodele.

The power playing forward has been on trial at the Scottish Premiership Club in the past seven days, and he seems to have impressed team manager John Hughes.

He wasn't registered in time for Tuesday’s Development League game against Hamilton Accies.

Dare, an attacker, had in the past turned out for Dolphins Feeders team before he travelled to the United Kingdom for the run out.

“He has done ok. I’m bitterly disappointed that we couldn’t get him registered in time for the game on Tuesday,” Hughes said.

“The work that we’ve been doing this week has really been geared towards Celtic so that’s held him back a wee bit.

“We’ll sit down and assess it. All the staff will get their say and we’ll take it from there.”
The striker position is one where Caley Thistle are keen to reinforce, with preseason moves for John-Christophe Ayina curbed by the Frenchman’s wage demands.

Last season’s squad members Torbjorn Agdestein and Curtis Allen were released without being replaced, although youngsters Calum Ferguson and Alasdair Sutherland delivered impressive performances in the 4-1 Development League defeat.

If he earns a deal, Ayodele is expected to sign a long term contract at the SPL team.
