Golden Eaglets of Nigeria defeated Kwara Football Academy 2-0 in a test
game played inside the main bowl of the Kwara Stadium Complex on Sunday.
Goals from Kehinde Ayinde and Orji Okonkwo were all Emmanuel Amuneke’s side needed to extend their unbeaten run to four.
The Nigeria U17 boys got their first goal through Ayinde in the 22nd minute after squandering begging chances in the early minutes of the encounter.
He slammed home the curtain raiser which punished the hosts for failing to clear Dauda Abdulganiyu well taken corner-kick on time.
Okonkwo doubled the Eaglets lead with less than 15 minutes to the end of the game by heading into the far post off a corner-kick.
The Golden Eaglets have now scored 12 goals in four games.
Nigeria U17 will be facing Mali and Niger in Group B of the 2014 West African Football Union (WAFU) championship to hold between April 19 and 27 in Togo.
