Leicester City have agreed a £15 million deal with Genk for Wilfred Ndidi, according to reports in Belgium.
HLN report that the move is still subject to a work permit but the 19-year-old’s transfer is expected to be completed.
The deal for the Nigeria international could also rise to £18.6 million with add-ons.
Ndidi will offer Claudio Ranieri a versatile option with his ability to play in defence and midfield.
The Premier League champions have failed to find a suitable replacement for N’Golo Kante, who was sold to Chelsea for £30m in July.
Leicester currently sit 14th in the Premier League having won just three of their 13 games this season.
